Sierra Leone ratified the Convention on 25 April 2001, and the Convention entered into force for Sierra Leone on 1 October 2001. Stockpile Destruction (Article 4) In its transparency report submitted on 9 February 2004, Sierra Leone reported that it had completed the destruction of all stockpiled anti-personnel mines. In total, Sierra Leone reported having destroyed 956 mines. Mine Clearance (Article 5) Sierra Leone reported that there were no mined areas under its jurisdiction or control.
