New Zealand ratified the Convention on 27 January 1999, and the Convention entered into force for New Zealand on 1 July 1999. Stockpile Destruction (Article 4) New Zealand reported that it had no stockpiled anti-personnel mines under its ownership or possession. Mine Clearance (Article 5) New Zealand reported that there were no mined areas under its jurisdiction or control.
