Malta ratified the Convention on 7 May 2001, and the Convention entered into force for Malta on 1 November 2001. Stockpile Destruction (Article 4) Malta reported that it had no stockpiled anti-personnel mines under its ownership or possession. Mine Clearance (Article 5) Malta reported that there were no mined areas under its jurisdiction or control.
