Malaysia ratified the Convention on 22 April 1999, and the Convention entered into force for Malaysia on 1 October 1999. Stockpile Destruction (Article 4) In its initial transparency report submitted on 1 March 2000, Malaysia reported stockpiled anti-personnel mines under its ownership or possession or under its jurisdiction or control. In 2001, Malaysia reported that it had completed the destruction of all stockpiled anti-personnel mines. In total, Malaysia reported having destroyed 94,721 mines. Mine Clearance (Article 5) Malaysia reported that there were no mined areas under its jurisdiction or control. |
