Kuwait acceded to the Convention on 30 July 2007, and the Convention entered into force for Kuwait on 1 January 2008. Stockpile Destruction (Article 4)In its initial transparency report submitted on 28 May 2008, Kuwait reported stockpiled anti-personnel mines under its ownership or possession or under its jurisdiction or control. In December 2008, Kuwait reported that it had completed the destruction of all stockpiled anti-personnel mines. In total, Kuwait reported having destroyed 91,432 mines. Mine Clearance (Article 5) Kuwait reported that there were no mined areas under its jurisdiction or control. |
