1.     Opening of the meeting

The meeting was opened by its Co-Chairs, Rita Kazragiene of Lithuania and Vladan Lazovic of Serbia.

2.     Overview of the status of stockpile destruction

The Co-Chairs delivered a statement on the status of implementation of Article 4 of the Convention. This was followed by a presentation by the ICBL on its views with respect to Article 4 implementation.

3.     Updates from relevant States Parties on the status of implementation

The following State Parties which, since the 8MSP, have met their deadlines for completing their stockpile destruction programmes provided an update.

The following States Parties and organizations contributed to discussion that followed these presentations.

In addition, the following States Parties in the process of fulfilling Article 4 obligations which have deadlines that have not occurred yet provided updates on their efforts.

4.     Updates from relevant States Parties on the status of transparency reporting

The Co-Chairs provided an opportunity for States Parties that have not yet reported their stockpile status in their Article 7 transparency reports as required to provide updates. Iraq, a new State Party that had not yet confirmed its stockpile status provided an update:

5.     The destruction of previously unknown stockpiles

The Co-Chairs provided an opportunity for States Parties to provide updates on stockpiles discovered after the completion of destruction programmes. The following organisation contributed to this discussion.

6.     Addressing Concerns About Compliance

The Co-Chairs provided an opportunity for discussion on addressing concerns about compliance with Article 4 of the Convention.  The following States and organisations contributed to the discussions:

The Co-Chairs provided an opportunity for States Parties or organizations to contribute to the discussion on assistance for the destruction of stockpiled anti-personnel mines. The following provided updates:

The Co-Chairs provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on thematic matters of interest to delegations concerning the fulfillment of Article 4 obligations. The following provided updates or contributed to the discussions:
