Events marking the 10th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention

PRELIMINARY PROGRAMME

09:00–13:00  Seminar on the partnership between states and civil society in addressing humanitarian challenges.
Co-hosts: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Peace Research Institute, Oslo (PRIO)
Venue: Oslo Conference Centre
13:00–15:00  Luncheon hosted by Minister of International Development Erik Solheim
18:00–22:30 Anniversary event and buffet dinner
Venue: Gamle Logen

A final programme will be distributed by email in advance of the event and published on www.mbc-oslo.no together with further practical information. The events will be conducted in English. From 15 to 20 September there will be various events in Oslo where civil society organisations will present the Mine Ban Convention and related humanitarian initiatives to the public. Participants are welcome to attend these activities. A programme will be posted on www.regjeringen.no/apmineban

Rooms have been reserved for individual booking by the participants at NOK 2 000 per night, breakfast included at Radisson SAS Plaza Hotel, Sonja Henies Plass 3, Oslo. Participants are kindly asked to register their participation in the conference using the registration link: www.mbc-oslo.no.

Visa

In case you need a visa to enter Norway, we will issue a signed invitation to the conference, which can be used when applying for a visa. Kindly note that it is your responsibility to apply for visa in due time. We recommend that you contact the nearest Norwegian Embassy as soon as possible for information about visa application procedures.  You can also find information on visa requirements on the website of the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration: www.udi.no.
