Switzerland made a presentation on the promotion of quality of, and access to, medical first-aid for mine victims and distributed a leaflet on key points for first responders PDF 25KB.
The Co-Chairs introduced the matter of socio-economic reintegration, which was followed by a presentation by Handicap International on behalf of the ICBL.
The Co-Chairs delivered a statement on the status of implementation of the Nairobi Action Plan in relation to victim assistance PDF 23KB which was followed by an intervention by Afghanistan on its experience of inter-ministerial coordination in the implementation of victim assistance in the context of the Convention and the Nairobi Action Plan PDF 19KB.
