Sudan's Presidency began as the Oslo Review Conference ended, and concluded at the end of the Eighteenth Meeting of the States Parties on 20 November 2020.

H.E. Osman Abufatima Adam Mohammed, Deputy Permanent Representative of Sudan to the United Nations in Geneva presided over the work of the States Parties in 2020. 

Sudan, only the third African country to preside over the Convention, led the first year of implementation of the recently-adopted Oslo Action Plan.
