How did delegations prepare for the 13MSP?

At the 30 May 2013 meeting of the Standing Committee on the General Status and Operation of the Convention, the President-Designate presented initial ideas and a draft agenda and programme for the 13MSP. There was general satisfaction with the approach proposed by the President-Designate and he subsequently submitted the draft agenda and programme for adoption at the beginning of the 13MSP

Following the 30 May meeting of the Standing Committee on the General Status and Operation of the Convention, the President-Designate wrote to all delegations to invite initial input on the preparation of the Geneva Progress Report. On 11 September 2013, the President-Designate distributed an initial draft to all delegations.

On 19 September 2013, the President-Designate convened an informal meeting to discuss preparations for the 13MSP. At this meeting, the President-Designate invited views on the draft Geneva Progress Report and updated delegations on other substantive preparations. He subsequently invited written comments on the draft Geneva Progress Report.
