Turkmenistan ratified the Convention on 19 January 1998, and the Convention entered into force for Turkmenistan on 1 March 1999. Stockpile Destruction (Article 4)In its initial transparency report submitted on 14 November 2001, Turkmenistan reported stockpiled anti-personnel mines under its ownership or possession or under its jurisdiction or control. In 2003, Turkmenistan reported that it had completed the destruction of all stockpiled anti-personnel mines. In total, Turkmenistan reported having destroyed 6,631,771 mines. |
