The floor was then given to Peter Kolarov from the UN Office for Disarmament Affairs to provide an update on the UN Office of Disarmament Affairs’ responsibilities concerning the Article 8 roster of experts.

Agenda Item # 11(e)(iv): Consideration of the general status and operation of the Convention: Other matters essential for achieving the Convention’s aims – Implementation SupportArgentina, as the Co-Chair of the Standing Committee on the General Status and Operation of the Convention, introduced this item. The Director of the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining then presented a report on the functioning of the Implementation Support Unit, followed by a few words from the ISU Manager, Kerry Brinkert. As Coordinator of the Sponsorship Programme, the United Kingdom provided an update on the progress of the programme.
